Step-by-Step Procedures
Burst Pipe Response
- Turn off main water supply immediately
- Locate shut-off valve near meter or line entry
- Turn off electricity to affected area
- Open cold taps to drain remaining water
- Turn off water heater
- Contain water; document damage for insurance
